These were sent to me from client (and friend), Tara J. Martin the day after she won the October 28, 2006, INBF Natural New York State Figure Championships and received her WNBF Pro Figure Card!!!! They were so beautiful and the gesture was so sweet I just had to post them!!

Janet,
When I needed encouragement, you gave me a pep talk.
When I required help,(boy did i need it)you rolled up your sleeves.
When I wanted to talk , you picked up the phone.
When I needed a hug, you opened your arms.
When I had to vent, you lent me your ears.
When i needed a nudge, you gave me an elbow. (and two thumbs to my back)

When I required correction, you did it ever so gently....

Encouragement is in short supply these days!!We all long for someone who will offer a kind word, support us as we pursue our dreams, and help us to look up when the days are long and the night(shows) even longer. I want to thank you for the encouragement that you have given me in pursuit of my dreams!! And can't wait to watch you cross stage #1!! Stay strong!! You WILL achieve your highest dreams!!( I know this cause our horoscope forecast predicts this!!

From the first moment we spoke, I was truly inspired by Janet and all that she has accomplished. The amazing amount of support and focus she provided is immeasurable! Her compassion, experience and dedication to the sport are endless and I am truly blessed to have met her.

It was March 2004, as I stepped on stage for my first show. As I glanced through the bright lights at the judging panel, I was calmed by the warm smile that emanated from the head judge, Janet Marsico. Ever since that day, Janet has become not only a mentor, but one of my closest friends. She has gone out of her way to keep me focused, especially during the most difficult of times, and her compassion and support are endless. Her knowledge and dedication of the sport make her a true asset to any aspiring competitor. I cherish the day that we met and know that as our journey continues, she will be there for me every step of the way.

I came away from my class feeling so good. Your opinion meant more to me then I think you know. I have never been very confident and you really made me feel like I was on the right track. I haven't stopped practicing since I got home even though I'm really sore -no pain no gain right. I really enjoyed working with you and wish we were closer.

From the first conversation I had with Janet on the phone about 1 year before I actually competed in my FIRST figure competition, I knew by the tone of her voice, she was sincere, dedicated and passionate about helping others want to be just like her. When I took her group workshop, I couldn't take enough notes, and just absorb everything she had to say. When I left her I was so motivated to compete, that I then decided I needed her to myself. I decided to do private workshops, which are so helpful. Janet zones in not only on your good side, but also the part of you that needs work. She is both honest and complimentary. I could never have gotten on that stage if I didn't have her expertise! Janet gave me the confidence I needed...as I was soooo shy! She is a wonderful role model and such a positive influence on any girl looking to compete.

Through working with Janet on a personal level, I have reached many goals that I believed were never possible. Since working with Janet, I have received nothing but positive feedback from various judges. Many of these judges have stated on countless occasions that my stage presence has been one hundred percent on target. I have also been approached by individuals in the audience that have identified me as the "perfect poser". When I step onto that stage, I know exactly how I need to perform and I am able to convince the judges that I belong on that stage because this is where I have worked so utterly hard to belong.
