Thank you! The article you wrote in the May 2008 issue of Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness "Motivation After You Don't Place" was dead on. Not only for women but for men.
I have been competing for several years on and off again
from time to time. Best finish was a 1st in the mens masters with my wife and grandson cheering me on from the audience. First place mens masters, OK, I thought, nothing now to winning the heavy weight division and competing for the overall. WRONG!

The very next show was a 7th out of 10. 7th place goes home. Quite a humbling experience. I've struggled for some time now but will not quit. It all comes down to what you eat and when you eat it. Your article was inspiring and motivational. I know you train figure competitors, any wisdom for the men body builders?
